Watching the Whales:
Visit Bar Harbor with the Vermont Institute of Natural Science


Join the Vermont Institute of Natural Science, March 28, 2000, for a one-week natural history and educational adventure with ocean front accommodations at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine, from June 25 to July 1, 2000. The trip includes a whale watch on board the 116-foot Atlantis, a nature cruise to observe marine mammals, and an evening beaver walk. The package also includes travel from Woodstock, Vermont, all meals, lodging, and field excursion fees. The cost of the trip is $895 for VINS members and $945 for nonmembers. The Vermont Institute of Natural Science was founded in 1972. Its mission is to protect Vermont's natural heritage through education and research designed to engage individuals and communities in the active care of their environment. VINS has three locations in the state: Woodstock (also home to the Vermont Raptor Center), Manchester, and Montpelier.
