Shhhhhh. Hold on there.
If I'm not mistaken there's an American Bald Eagle perched up there on that limb. Wouldn't that just be a hoot! We don't get many eagle sightings around here that's for sure. Though there was that one up at Lake Bomoseen.
There's plenty of natural wildlife around Rural though. And plenty of places to roam about and enjoy nature.
That's one of the best things about Rural, Vermont. Nature isn't set apart from the rest of life. It's sort of like you step out into your dooryard and you're in it. Not like other places where you have to find yourself a park to feel grass beneath your feet. Or go to the zoo to see a fox.
No, here in Rural, nature ain't a separate thing.

2000 Spring Trout Stocking Program
Again the Rutland Natural Resources Conservation District will sponsor a spring trout stocking program that includes both rainbow and brook trout. 9-11" and 12-14" rainbow trout and 6-8" brook trout will be available. Green Mountain Trout Farm along with a representation from the Rutland NRCD will deliver your trout right to you pond on May 24, 2000. 9-11" rainbows are $3.25 each, 12-14" rainbows are $4.50 each, and 6-8" brook trout are $2.25 each.
